About Mauldin Books

Mauldin Books is an independent publishing company founded by Kyle Mauldin Sutton in 2012. 

It began as a home for the books he was writing and has grown to include fiction, memoir, caregiving, intuitive discovery, and past-life exploration.

Mauldin Books publishes personal and nonfiction work by Kyle Mauldin Sutton and fiction by Gregory Allen. Mauldin Books is the home of The Caregiver’s Companion Series, forthcoming books connected to IntuitiveHealerCoach and Echoes of Past Lives, and Riding Rollercoasters with God, his account of cancer and heart surgery.

Mauldin Books also offers direct support to writers who are developing or preparing their own books. Every service is handled by Kyle. There is not a large team behind the name. Clients work directly with someone who has taken his own books from first draft to finished files and understands what the process asks of a writer.

Every book should have a clear reason for being written and a reason to be read.

Mauldin Books publishes and supports work that begins with something real. It may be a story that will not let go or an experience that could help someone else. Sometimes it begins with a question the writer cannot leave alone. The subject may change. The responsibility to the reader does not.

Every project receives direct attention from Kyle. He explains his recommendations honestly while protecting the writer’s voice. The goal is not to make every book sound the same. It is to help the writer see the book more clearly and carry it through to completion.

A Note from Kyle Mauldin Sutton

I founded Mauldin Books in 2012 because I needed a home for work that did not fit neatly into one category. My faith shapes who I am, but Mauldin Books is not limited to faith-based writing. It is where I publish books drawn from lived experience alongside fiction about family, identity, secrets, and consequence.

 My writing for Mauldin Books appears under my own name and draws from lived experience. Mauldin Books also publishes fiction by Gregory Allen.

I also handle the publishing process directly. Carrying my own books from rough draft to finished files taught me how easily a good manuscript can lose its direction. That experience lets me help other writers move forward without taking the story away from them.

Mauldin Books is personal because books are personal. I believe the writer’s reason for beginning should still be present when the finished book reaches the reader.
